Replace Raised Decking and Trellis - 31 August 2023

Visual Information
Details
Portisde Decking and Fencing had previously removed the old decking and trellis, and constructed a new fence, gate and path at this property, we were called back to complete the replacement of the original decking, add some planters to frame the path and steps and construct a new shed.#

View Our Previous Visit To This Property

We hit the ground running as we had already prepared the garden for the shed, which we designed and specifically to fit perfectly underneath the decking (which would form part of the roof as it had done previously).

The layout of the decking was predetermined by the original, and the slope of the garden, and as not fall fowl of planning regulations we replaced the decking to it's original dimensions, although we used higher quality timber to ensure longevity.

Planters were created down the length of the steps and path, these will become hydropinics beds in the not to distant future, so the property owner has gained a very large area for growing their own food.

We finished the job by oiling all of the wooden components, to bring out it's rich colour and grain and to protect it from the elements for many years to come, the water repellant barrier also allows for easy cleaning, and when it's time (usually once per year) the wood can simply be oiled again.

Customer Comments

'Consistantly high standard of work from Portside Decking and Fencing on this, their second visit to our home, and their second pat on the back from us.

We are extremely happy with the replacement of our decking and shed and the introduction of our new raised hydroponics planters, the fit and finish was also carried out to a very high standard, leaving no ill fitting edges or joints, and we would therefore highly recommend the Portside Decking and Fencing team, thanks guys.'
